Desert Dust (by Olivia Lopez)
Dama HandbagsSan Diego’s recent Sassy City Chicks Fashion Bash had so many vendors whose booths were filled to bursting with gorgeous clothing and accessories. So it’s a testament to the extra-special editing eye of Diana Verdugo of Dama Handbags that I kept wandering back to her booth over and over again! Those beautiful Melie Biancos! That turquoise Urban Expressions perforated number that kept singing to me like a mermaid temptress!
Diana has a fabulous knack for picking the cream of the cruelty-free crop, as all of her items are vegan and eco-friendly. As we all know, there are zillions of horribly cheap-looking plastic bags out there, and as you can see from these pictures and from perusing the Dama website, they have the very best. I mean, Melie Bianco is ubiquitous in fashion magazines these days, they are truly having a moment that any bag line would envy!
I am always proud and excited to see fellow Latinas owning and operating their own businesses. Diana Verdugo is also doing a service—beautifying the planet, one handbag at a time.
